At the beginning of your project, we’ll meet you to learn a bit more about your design goals and needs. We will provide an overview of council controls and discuss possibilities within your budget.
A detailed measure-up will be organised which will document the existing building size, construction typology and how the home sits in relation to the neighbours. A survey will also be required at this stage
Once we have an understanding of your project, we begin exploring concepts and a corresponding opinion of probable costs. Ideas explored during this phase provide a frame work for the more concrete design decisions that will be made once a scheme is selected.
During the design development phase, we go from the more conceptual and abstract to the specifics. We finalise the floor plan/section and select architectural features and finishes. If council approval is needed we will at this stage organise a package to submit on your behalf.
Once all approvals are in place, we will work with a structural engineer toward a set of construction drawings. This phase will also include finalising architectural details, finishes and fixtures.
With a complete set of detailed drawings finished we are ready to engage a builder. This can be done through a tender process with multiple builders we have previously worked with or we can work with a builder of your choice.
Throughout construction we will continue to liaise with the builder on your behalf to ensure the build runs as smoothly as possible. Weekly site meetings are organised to maintain an open line of communication between the builder and yourself.
